Purpose
This procedure evaluates strength of a PET bottle when dropped.
Description
Sample bottles are filled with tap water and allowed to equilibrate at room temperature. They are then dropped from heights of between 2 - 10 feet. This test can be used to determine if the bottle will dent at lower heights or break when dropped from higher heights.
