| Resin Flake Preform Bottle | 1 gram | Moisture Analyzer |
This procedure measures the amount of moisture within a sample using the Arizona Instruments Moisture Analyzer.
A sample is deposited into the analyzer and heated to release all of the moisture within the sample. The moisture is detected by a relative humidity sensor within the chamber. Readings from the sensor combined with the manifold temperature and the outlet flow rate calculate the µg of H2O evolved per second which are calculated to ppm. Once the rate of H2O evolution is less than 0.10ug/s, the test is considered complete. The sample size is determined based on the expected moisture to yield between 500 to 1000 ug H2O evolved during the test.
